Alyssa Petrenko, Legal & Administration
Alyssa Petrenko is a Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at H/2 Capital Partners, where she is responsible for overseeing the Firm's compliance program, including compliance with regulatory requirements and design, implementation, administration and testing of the Firm's compliance framework. Alyssa volunteers her legal expertise with H/3 Foundation, where she supports corporate governance, grant-making, media project financing and production and other mission-driven initiatives. In this role, she is able to fulfill a long-standing desire to help animals, who cannot advocate for themselves, while continuing a full-time corporate career, bringing practical judgment and institutional structure to H/3's animal-welfare endeavors
Ms. Petrenko's career includes over 18 years of in-house compliance experience in alternative asset management space. Prior to joining H/2, Ms. Petrenko was Counsel and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Monarch Alternative Capital. Prior to Monarch Alternative Capital, Ms. Petrenko was a Legal and Compliance Associate at Luxor Capital Group. Beyond her professional role and volunteer work with H/3, Alyssa also devotes time to pro bono legal work in immigration and family law. Ms. Petrenko holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Columbia University, and a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, cum laude.
Alyssa lives in Westchester County with her husband, two sons, Rex (a Belgian Malinois who believes it is his full-time job to keep the entire household thoroughly exercised, mildly exhausted and endlessly entertained), and Ikos (a tiny Pomchi who considers himself Rex’s mortal enemy, a stance Rex luckily politely ignores).
