25 Cats from Qatar
Presented by Gray Hat Productions in association with H/3 Foundation and directed by award-winning filmmaker Mye Hoang, 25 CATS FROM QATAR is an urgent and emotional new documentary that sheds light on one of the Middle East’s most overlooked animal welfare crises.
With a street cat population rivaling the human population of the country, Qatar’s feline crisis has reached a critical tipping point. Disease spreads quickly. Adoptions are rare. And rescue resources are stretched thin. 25 Cats From Qatar follows a determined underground rescue network in Doha led by a coalition of expats, locals, and a devoted Milwaukee-based flight attendant-turned-cat-café owner, as they work tirelessly to fly 25 lucky cats to new homes abroad. But this story is about more than just one rescue. It’s about global compassion, grassroots activism, and the search for a long-term solution to a growing humanitarian and animal welfare crisis. The film is currently screening at film festivals and special events across the U.S. Click here to see the full event schedule. |
